In addition to healthy eyes,
the right prescription lenses are just as important to see
clearly.
• Your prescription is determined by the 6-point
Get Focused Vision Evaluation. We perform and array of manual and
automated testing to find the right prescription to fit all of your
visual needs.
• We use the latest advances in automated refraction technology to
obtain your prescription, and then your optometrist will further
refine that prescription manually. specific occupational spectacle lenses,
specialty contacts, or visual therapy.
Our new refraction system, a combination of the
Marco TRS (Total Refraction System) along with an Innova System
Interface and Digital Eye Chart is the first of its kind in the
world.
• Even though technology has advanced a great deal, having the
doctor manually refine the prescription is still the best way to
ensure the most accurate prescription.
• Of course, we continue to offer our Prescription Accuracy
Guarantee. We are focused on providing you with the latest and best
lens treatments, enhancements, and lens designs so that you can
achieve the clearest vision with your precise prescription.
• We offer unlimited adjustments on your eyewear at no charge.
• We do a lifestyle questionnaire to ensure that you have the best
lenses to fit the various activities that you participate in.
• We also strongly and routinely recommend protection from UV
radiation for all our patients. We carry a large selection of
lenses, sunglasses, and contacts that provide UV protection for your
eyes.
• We are focused on keeping you happy and comfortable with your
vision care and your prescription.
• We not only want you to be happy when you walk out of the door for
the first time with your new glasses, sunglasses or contacts, we
also want you to continue to be happy for the life of your
prescription.
Autorefration
Our instruments first get a baseline reading of your prescription
which gives us an initial prescription to begin our refraction.
Autokeratometry
This instrument, combined with the autorefractor, measures the
curvature of the eye, and gives us more information to help in
finding the right prescription. This is especially important with
astigmatism prescriptions and contacts.
Retinoscopy
This is a manual tool that gives the optometrist a good feel for how
well the eye is focusing, and adds to the automatic testing to
determine the prescription.
Monocular
Refraction First we determine the correct prescription
for each eye individually, using a series of lenses to find the best
prescription to optimize the clearest vision and visual comfort.
Binocular
Refraction Once each eye is determined alone, we measure
both eyes together to find the right balance between the two eyes.
An imbalanced refraction can cause headaches, eyestrain, and double
vision.
Binocular
Functional Tests If necessary, the optometrist can do
additional tests to find the source of eye strain, double vision,
lazy eyes, or focusing problems that may require lenses or even
visual therapy to remedy these problems.
